Men of the combined security force tagged Operation Burst, over the weekend, harassed and extorted residents in Ibadan, the Oyo state capital, according to video and pictures circulating online.
In several videos seen by InsideOyo.com, soldiers were seen flogging and cutting hair on young residents. Most of the incidents happened at Beere area of Ibadan.
The men of Operation Burst have been stationed along the line in the wake of the #ENDSARs protest which was later hijacked by miscreants.

Insideoyo.com recalls that Governor Seyi Makinde had promised to ensure justice for citizens of police brutality and extortion during one of his addresses.
On Monday, the Commissioner of Youths and Sports, Mr Seun Fakorede while confirming the actions of the men of Operation Burst, described it as ‘unlawful activities’.
Mr Fakorede, in a post on his twitter account, said the soldiers have been arrested and taken to the barracks for disciplinary actions.

“My ears are full of news of the unlawful activities of some Soldiers of the Nigerian Army, over the weekend.
“I have immediately reached out to the Commandant of the Operation Burst and I’ve been assured that the men involved in this distasteful operation have been arrested and taken to the barracks — they will be dealt with accordingly.
“This will not repeat itself again in Oyo State. Please, kindly go about your daily business and activities without fear. Thank you.”
Meanwhile, residents have called for an open investigation while sanctioning must be made public.
