The Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi and Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, met with the Minister of Interior, Rauf Aregbesola, on Tuesday.
Insideoyo.com gathered that meeting was held in Ibadan, the Oyo state capital.
Though the details of the meeting are sketchy, it was gathered that the meeting was held to resolve the crisis between Aregbesola and former Lagos State Governor Bola Tinubu.
Media aide to the minister, Sola Fasure, confirmed that the meeting took place without giving details.
“It is true, he had a private meeting with them,” he told The PUNCH on the telephone.
“I won’t speculate on the content of their meeting,” he added.
The meeting, it was gathered, was the first step towards finding a lasting reconciliation between the two.
It was learnt that after consultations, the leaders agreed to move to the next stage of the meeting which will be held at a later date.
