This afternoon, by 12 noon, all roads will lead to Iseyin, a gateway city to the 10 local government areas of Okeogun and less-than-an-hour journey from Ibadan, the state capital as the 2nd edition of the Teslim Kunle Foundation Ramadan lecture holds.
This is just as the initiator, Ismail Teslim Kunle, will make known his intention to represent the people of Iseyin/Itesiwaju state constituency in the Oyo state house of assembly.
Chief Imam of Offa, Al-Imam Muyideen Salman Husain will deliver a lecture on good governance and sustainable development— the role of politicians at Ojude-Oba, Iseyin.
Top chieftains of the All Progressives Congress, APC, are expected to grace the event.
In a chat with newsmen, Teskom, as the lovable politician is popularly called, explained that “The Teslim Kunle Foundation is an apolitical and veritable platform to drive the delivery of life enhancing amenities and resources to my immediate constituency (Iseyin-Itesiwaju state constituency) in the immediate, Oyo state and Nigeria in general.
“Over the years, we have facilitated scholarship to over 50 Indigent and deserving students, we have empowered people to improve their trades especially in the area of Ofi weaving and production, we have provided employment to deserving youths and have also assisted our farmers in proving farm inputs to improve their productivity and ensure food security.
“We also facilitated movement aids for some physically challenged individuals while getting involve in creating awareness for various immunization programs such as Covid, Polio, TB et al to ensure our people lived a deserving life.
“We also supported students in area of coaching and purchase of Jamb forms/ entrance exams to secure the future of our teeming youths.
“We have also provided leverage for our fathers and mothers and the elderly through our cash assisted program while also providing healthcare advisory services for healthy living.
“These and many more we’ve done through the support of our donor agencies and personal efforts of the chief promoter (Hon Teslim Kunle).
“This year’s Ramadan lecture will be delivered by the Erudite Sheik Muyideen Salman the Chief Imam of Offa and promises to be soul rendering.
“The platform will also avail me the opportunity to inform you and my teeming supporters of my intention to represent my people of Iseyin-Itesiwaju state constituecy at the Oyo state House of Assembly in the forth coming 2023 political dispensation.
“I believe that if I have political power, I will be able to do more,” he added.
