The Executive Chairman, Ibarapa North Local Government, Hon. Lawal Akorede Lateef has announced the appointment of Mr. Ogunjimi Sunday as the Chief of Staff for his second term in office.
In an official statement released on Monday, Akorede described his reelection as another deserving opportunity to continue the resharpening and transformation of Ibarapa North communities and villages, while working with fresh minds and renewed ideas for the benefit of all residents.
While announcing the seasoned farmer, serial entrepreneur and grassroot politician, Mr Sunday Ogunjimi as his new Chief of Staff, Hon. Akorede also mentioned Mr. Wale Oladiran as his Personal Assistant, Mr. Jimoh Usair as the Special Assistant on media and publicity, while Mr. Nurudeen Adetokun gets the office of the Protocol Officer.
Ogunjimi, before his appointment as the Chief of Staff, was the immediate past Special Assistant on Special Duties to the Executive Chairman.
Hon. Akorede described all the appointees as capable hands with unblemished track record, who has the ability and undoubted commitment to contribute to the development and prosperity of the Local Government.
He said: “I congratulate all the new appointees and I am encouraging them to deplore all their experiences and knowledge in their given role towards making this administration a record breaking one across Oyo State and even Nigeria.
“We have a role model in person of our emiable Governor Seyi Makinde; we equally have high expectations on us from our people, definitely failure is not an option.
“We were trusted again, because we did well at the first tenure. This is another opportunity and we have to do better in all areas of infrastructural provisions, basic amenities, support to local farmers and artisans and every other area of community development.”
