Hon Lateef Akorede, Chairman of Ibarapa North Local Government Area has thanked Governor Seyi Makinde, Otunba Seye Famojuro and the good people of the local government over his emergence as the People’s Democratic Party, PDP Chairmanship candidate for the local government.
Akorede also appreciated the lawmaker representing Ibarapa North, Ibarapa Central Federal Constituency, Dr Adepoju Adebayo, Rt Hon. Edward Adebo Ogundoyin, Speaker Oyo state House of Assembly, Hon Peter Gbadegesin Ojedokun, Member representing Ibarapa North, Hon. Ademola Obafemi Ojo, Commissioner- nominee.
He also thanked leaders and stakeholders of the party in the local government for their support.
He made this known in a statement personally signed by him and made available to newsmen.
It reads: “My sincere appreciation goes to my amiable and ever supportive leaders who stood firmly and deeply for my emergence as the candidate and the flag bearer of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) for second term ahead of the 2024 LG Elections.
“I promise to continue to serve in the interests of the good people of Ibarapa North local government and to make adjustments where necessary for an inclusive and a prosperous Administration tagged – accelerated growth and inclusive development.
“’To whom much is given, much is expected’ I wholeheartedly thank the peoples’ Governor and pride of the west, Engr. Oluseyi Abiodun Makinde (FNSE) for giving me adequate and necessary support in all ramifications which has enabled me to serve the good people of Ibarapa North Local government dearly which later eased my second term bidding and candidature.
