In a bid to address critical infrastructure needs and boost economic growth, Honorable Lawal Lateef Akorede, Executive Chairman of Ibarapa North, has launched a marathon culverts reconstruction and road grading project across the region.
The project’s primary objective is to ensure sustainable development, improved living standards, and economic growth for residents. One of the project’s first phases involved reconstructing a culvert connecting Ayete Grammar School to the main road, which had become filled up and was causing significant challenges for commuters.
Additionally, Hon. Lateef has undertaken the reconstruction of another culvert at the road linking to Maku Grammar School in Tapa, which had collapsed and was impassable for students, motorists, and pedestrians. Two more culverts leading to Alabi village are also currently under reconstruction, having suffered extensive damage due to severe erosion.
The reconstruction of these four culverts was achieved with the support of His Excellency Oluseyi Abiodun Makinde, who Hon. Lateef praised for his unwavering support in enhancing the infrastructure within Ibarapa North.
This development is expected to ultimately boost connectivity, safety, and overall development of the region, demonstrating Hon. Lateef’s proactive leadership in addressing the region’s infrastructure needs and laying the groundwork for a brighter future for Ibarapa North communities.
