The Ibarapa East Local Government Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Elders Forum has extended sincere sympathies to the lawmaker representing Ibarapa North/Ibarapa Central Federal Constituency, Hon. Dr. Anthony Bayo Adepoju, his family, and the people of Igboora over the passing of their father, Dr. Amos Adepoju, the Asiwaju of Igboora.
The condolence message was issued by Hon. Moses Ojoawo, Commissioner I at the Oyo State House of Assembly Service Commission, on behalf of the forum.
Ojoawo described the late Dr. Adepoju as a man of remarkable vision and influence, who lived a life of service that touched not just his immediate community but the entire Ibarapa zone.
“We commiserate with Hon. Dr. Anthony Bayo Adepoju, his family, and the people of Igboora on the death of a true statesman and community leader. Dr. Amos Adepoju was a towering pillar of progress whose contributions to education, youth empowerment, and community development remain unforgettable,” he said.
The forum further noted that the tenure of Dr. Adepoju as Rector of Ibadan Polytechnic was marked by monumental human capacity building and structural development. The whole Ibarapa zone felt his impact throughout that period.
“His demise has created a void that will be difficult to fill. Yet, his values of service, integrity, and leadership will continue to inspire future generations in Ibarapa and beyond,” Ojoawo added.
The PDP elders prayed for God to grant the Adepoju family and the Igboora community the strength to bear the loss, while also urging them to take solace in the enduring impact of the late Asiwaju’s work.
Dr. Adepoju is survived by his wife and children, including Hon. Dr. Anthony Bayo Adepoju, the current member representing Ibarapa Central/North Federal Constituency.
