Hon. Aderogba Adebayo Taofik, a federal House of Representatives aspirant from Ibadan North Federal Constituency, has expressed his confidence in winning the upcoming bye-election.
He is contesting on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to complete the tenure of the late Hon. Olaide Akinremi in 2027.
During an interview on Jamz 100.1 FM’s current affairs program, Periscope, on Sunday, Aderogba stated, “I have the requisite experience to bring governance closer to my people through lawmaking.”
He highlighted his experience in the private sector and his role as a state and national officer of the Nigerian Union of Foods and Beverages for the past 15 years.
When asked about his contributions to his community, Aderogba mentioned his efforts in paying WAEC fees for several indigent students and building a water project in his local government.
He also emphasized his good relationship with party members and the leadership of the APC.
Regarding his chances of winning the election, Aderogba expressed confidence in his network of friends across Ibadan North Federal Constituency and his ability to build on the good work of the late Hon. Akinremi.
Aderogba also highlighted his educational background, stating that he graduated from the Polytechnic, Ibadan, University of Ibadan, and University of Liverpool, United Kingdom.
