One of the aggrieved governorship aspirants in the African Democratic Congress, ADC ,in Oyo State, Engr. Remi Oseni has denied dumping the party.
Oseni, who was rumoured to have decamped to the People’s Democratic Party, stated on Wednesday that he remains a member of the ADC, regardless of his grievances.
“My attention has been drawn to a news published by one of the online newspaper, purporting that I, Engr Aderemi Oseni had decamped from my party ADC for PDP. I wish to debunk in totality this falsehood and misleading information”, he wrote in the statement.
Engineer Oseni also made it clear that “I never sat with any group to discuss issues pertaining to decamping to any party whatsoever. I remain a strong member of ADC and voice to the voiceless members of my great party. I do not have any intention of doing such. I therefore urge my teaming supporters to disregard this news fabrication. My ambition for Oyo state remains alive irrespective of the current political uncertainty in my 2019 ambition. I remain focused and want to reassure all my supporters God’s will would always prevail”.
A number of online platforms had reported that Oseni decamped to PDP in company of a former Secretary to the State Government and a former Commissioner.
The permutations of the propinepro of the defection rumour might be as a result of Oseni’s open criticism of the process that produced Senator Femi Lanlehin as the party’s governorship candidate in Oyo State.
