The camps of the Oyo State chapter of Accord, Social Democratic Party, SDP and Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, were further depleted as hundreds of their members formally joined the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC in Ibadan North local government.
The defectors were received at a colourful event which took place at IMG Pry School, Oje Igosun, Ibadan.

A former Accord financier in the state, Engr. Remi Olaniyan, who recently defected to the APC led the decampees.
At the event were the chairman of the party in the council, Hon. Lasun Adebunmi, Hon. Olusegun Olaleye of Ibadan North State Contituency, Hon. Peju Esan and host of others.

Accord leader and former Oyo State governor, Sen. Rashidi Ladoja is from the council.
