Global trends has also shown that the gaming and lottery industry, if well regulated, is a major sector for the generation of tax revenue by the government. Under the leadership of Hon Olajide Boladuro, the Oyo Gaming Board has placed focus on streamlining and regulating the gaming industry as this is creating a safer and more reliable environment for gamers to participate in various forms of gaming, such as online betting, casinos, and lottery games.

Hon Olajide Boladuro has been instrumental in the transformation of the Oyo Gaming Board, aiming to generate more revenue for the state. Under his leadership, several strategic initiatives have been implemented to achieve this goal. He believed that gaming industry is of vital concern to the government and key to its revenue enhancement.

In his capacity as th DG he has focused on modernizing the gaming industry in Oyo State. He has introduced innovative technologies and digital platforms to enhance the gaming experience and attract a broader audience. Hon Boladuro has prioritized the regulation and licensing of gaming activities in the state. By establishing strict guidelines and standards, the board ensures that all gaming operators adhere to legal and ethical practices. This not only safeguards the interests of players but also promotes transparency and trust in the industry. As a result, more gaming companies are willing to operate in Oyo State, leading to a boost in revenue.

By ensuring that gaming operators adhere to strict rules and regulations, the Gaming Board is building trust among players and attract more people to participate as this will result in increased revenue for both the gaming operators and the state. He has seen that regulating the industry will help prevent fraud and money laundering, further improving the sector’s integrity. Over the years across the globe, lottery and gaming have been identified as a wealth generator, noting that proceeds from lottery was used to transform societies and Oyo State should not be an exception, hence adequate regulations will enhance the revenue base.

Honourable Boladuro has actively pursued collaborations and partnerships with relevant stakeholders, including gaming operators, industry experts, and regulatory bodies. By fostering strong relationships, the Oyo Gaming Board can leverage the expertise and resources of these partners to drive revenue growth. This collaborative approach also facilitates knowledge sharing and best practices, ensuring the board stays at the forefront of the gaming industry.

Truly, the first rule of any technology used in a business is that automation applied to an efficient operation will magnify the efficiency and the second is that automation applied to an inefficient operation will magnify the inefficiency, in his wisdom, honourable Boladuro has focused on promoting responsible gaming practices. By raising awareness about the potential risks associated with excessive gambling and implementing measures to protect vulnerable individuals, the board ensures that gaming remains a safe and enjoyable activity. This responsible approach not only enhances the reputation of the gaming industry but also attracts more players who value a secure and regulated environment.

Honourable Olajide Boladuro’s leadership has brought about a transformation in the Oyo Gaming Board, aimed at generating more revenue for the state. Through modernization, regulation, collaboration, and responsible practices, the board is well-positioned to capitalize on the potential of the gaming industry and drive economic growth in Oyo State in line with the roadmap for sustainable development of Governor Makinde in Oyo State.
