Oyo state governor, Engr Seyi Makinde has promised to waive his immunity for the proposed Anti-Corruption Agency in the state.
The governor stated this in a recent interview with journalists in Ibadan, Oyo state capital during the week.
Recall that InsideOyo.com had reported how the governor informed the Oyo state house of assembly of his plans to send two executive bills.
“I have told the State Assembly that the first Executive Bill we are bringing to it is for us to set up an Anti-Corruption Agency for Oyo State.
“And I will waive my immunity, if I am found not to be above board, to face that agency.”
Governor Makinde said his plans are to expand economy and lift as many of our people as possible out of poverty.
