The George Aid Foundation has distributed food packs to over 200 persons with disabilities in Ibadan, Oyo State, in collaboration with the Rotary Club of Ibadan Jericho Metro.
The initiative, which took place over a two-month period, aims to alleviate the suffering of persons with disabilities in the state.
According to the Director-General of the Oyo State Agency for Persons with Disabilities, Barrister Ayodele Adekanmbi, the support from the George Aid Foundation is a significant step towards improving the lives of persons with disabilities.
“The support of George Aid Foundation is going a long way to help bring persons with disabilities off the road,” he said, while flagging off the distribution of the food packs.
Barrister Adekanmbi also called on well-meaning individuals to collaborate with the state government in empowering persons with disabilities.
He expressed gratitude to the George Aid Foundation for its kindness and commitment to supporting vulnerable groups in the society.
The President of the Rotary Club of Ibadan Jericho Metro, Rotarian Bimbola Bodede, also commended the George Aid Foundation for its partnership and support.
“The support of George Aid Foundation towards the programmes of Rotary Club Jericho Metro is helping the needy in a long way,” she said.
“The distribution of food packs to persons with disabilities is part of the support from the George Aid Foundation to help the less privileged.”
The beneficiaries of the food packs expressed their appreciation for the kindness and support.
They promised to continue praying for the George Aid Foundation and its leadership.
The food distribution is part of the foundation’s monthly initiative to support the less privileged and marks the celebration of Sera George’s birthday, one of the key figures behind the foundation.
