The Federal University of Technology, Akure on Thursday, 7th August 2025, inaugurated a new set of Alumni into the board of the Alumni Trust Fund. The Board will see to the endowment and raise funds for the growth of the university in the areas of training, research, capacity building, and infrastructural development.
The FUTA Alumni President worldwide, Engr. Adeyemi Bello, in his remark, thanked the University Vice Chancellor Professor (Mrs) Temidayo Adenike Oladiji FAS, who doubles as the Patron of the Association, for her unflinching support to the growth of the Association.
The President, while appreciating the last board members under the leadership of Chief Engr. Segun Faleke, for their selfless service, therefore, admonished the new board members to use their wealth of experience and contacts to help grow the university.
The Vice Chancellor in her remarks thanked the President and all members of the FUTA Alumni Association Worldwide for their support to the university community with different intervention projects and materials; in her words supporting your Alma mater is not only when you give a billion naira project but all these little interventions the University had received were well appreciated. The Chairman of the Board, Chief Cyril Ajagu, while accepting and making remarks on behalf of other members agreed that it is a call to service and members are challenged to contribute immensely towards the success of the Board.
He appreciated the Vice Chancellor and the University management for their efforts to maintain the excellence status of the university and charged all members to use their individual ideas and contacts to achieve the set goals.
