The daughter of a late Lagos business mogul and multi-millionaire, Mrs. Ajanaku Mariam Bose (nee Balogun) Tuesday pointed accusing fingers at her father’s family after mysterious fire gutted property worth N34 million in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.
According to a report by The Nation, a section of K’ Dreams Hotel and Nite Club, located at Orita Challenge , Ibadan, recently went up in flames, resulting in the destruction of valuables worth several millions of naira.
Trouble started when the late Lagos business mogul, Abdulazeez Balogun, died and his Will was executed, leaving his daughter with a large chunk of his choice property worth several millions of naira.
The daughter, who claimed her family members had been using all forms of diabolical means against her, described as mysterious the fire that gutted her shop and her husband’s hotel last month in Ibadan.
Speaking with newsmen in Ibadan, Mrs. Ajanaku, (daughter of the late Lagos business mogul), added that the fire incident might not be unconnected with a dispute over inheritance between her and her late father’s family members.
According to her, the dispute took a dangerous dimension when her business premises and her husband’s nite club worth over N34million were gutted by a mysterious fire.
The businesswoman said she had written a Save-our-Soul letter to the Inspector General of Police (IGP) over alleged incessant attacks and attempts on his life and properties by some people she suspected to be aggrieved members of her late father’s family.
Ajanaku lamented that her life had been subjected to series of attacks in the past one year by some members of her extended family, who were desperate to use diabolical means to forcefully retrieve some of the property willed to her by her father.
“I don’t feel safe any longer as these people are now after my life,” she said.
