The Rotary Club of Ibadan in collaboration with the Gbenjo Foundation and the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Oyo Command on Thursday organised an awareness talk on the care of eyes, visual screening, and distribution of free eyeglasses to commercial drivers and others.
The event, tagged; ‘Eye Camp 2020’, had the distribution of drugs to help improve the eyesight of the beneficiaries in the community.
The event was held at Eleyele to commemorate the World Sight Day.
According to the organisers, a driver with poor sight is a great risk to his passengers and other road users.
This was the reason why the Rotary Club of Ibadan City Central helped give “Hope In Sight” to commercial drivers.
