A Former Member of the Oyo state House of Assembly, Honourable Segun Olaleye, also known as Radical brother, has expressed his deep sadness over the passing of Oyo APC Chairman, Chief Isaac Ajibola Omodewu.
Olaleye in a statement made available to newsmen on Monday described Omodewu’s demise as a “devastating blow” to the party and the nation.
His words: “It is with a heavy heart that I receive the news of the passing of our beloved Chairman, Chief Isaac Ajibola Omodewu. His demise is a devastating blow to our great party, the All Progressives Congress (APC), and the entire nation.
“Omodewu, a true leader and champion of democracy, served the party with dedication, humility, and selflessness. Chief Omodewu was a true leader, a man of impeccable character, and a champion of democracy. His contributions to our party and the state of Oyo will never be forgotten,” Olaleye added.
The two term lawmaker extended his condolences to the family, saying, “I want to extend my heartfelt condolences to the family of our departed leader, may God grant them the strength and fortitude to bear this irreparable loss.”
He also commiserated with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the National Chairman of the APC and APC faithful nationwide.
Omodewu’s passing leaves a big vacuum in the party, but his legacy will continue to inspire.
“We will miss his wise counsel, guidance, and leadership. May his soul rest in peace, and may God grant him eternal rest,” Olaleye said.
