Idris Ajimobi, son of Late Former Governor Abiola Ajimobi lost the Ibadan South West State Constituency II election, insideoyo.com reports
The candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Honourable Oluwafemi Fowokanmi was declared the winner of the election held across the constituency on Saturday.
Idris Ajimobi contested under the platform of the All Progressives Congress, APC.
Prof. Kolawole Falade, who is the INEC Returning Officer, announced that Hon. Oluwafemi Fowokanmi polled a total number of 16,328 votes to defeat the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Idris Ajimobi, who scored a total number of 7,755 votes.
The Accord Party candidate, Wahab Babamide came third after he got a total number of 2,768 votes.
Following his electoral victory, Hon. Oluwafemi Fowokanmi has sent his appreciation message to the people of Ibadan South West state constituency 2 for keeping to their promise.
The Honorable-elect also extended the appreciation message to the people of Oyo State at large for the trust they have in the administration of Engr. Seyi Makinde.
He assured them that the PDP led administration in Oyo State will consolidate on its achievements to give the people of state better means of livelihood.
