The Chief Executive Officer, Eternal Home Cemetery, Mrs Adebukola Kadiri has said that the private cemetery was created to offer comfort after life for people.
Kadiri said the private cemetery is not just a cemetery but a place that offers best of service to ensure loved ones rest well.
She made these known, on Tuesday during a media parley with journalists in Ibadan, the Oyo state capital.
She said that the cemetery has provisions for Muslims, Christians and any other adherents of other religious who want a secured and resting place for their loved ones.
She added that the one of its kind private cemetery is located at Kilometer 25 Ibadan – Oyo road, Motunde, Ibadan, Oyo state.
Her words: “We created this place to offer comfort after life for people, beauty for ashes, ashes for beauty. I want people to have place that they can rest after death, a place that is just not the usual cemetery but a place that offers best of service to ensure our loved ones rest well.
“We don’t want our people to bury their love one in their residential spaces anymore, it’s not a graveyard. It is not right to bury someone in front of the house, that when you open the door, that’s the first thing that will be seen.
“Moreover, it is not good health-wise, it is dangerous for our health, with many health implications
“Also, there’s a law that bans people from burying people at their residential homes, enforcing people to bury at cemetery.”
Kadiri also spoke on the affordability, safety and security already put in place at the cemetery adding that cemetery has became the host of ritual events for families and post-funeral events, allowing families to give their loved ones a respectful and dignified burial process at the end of their life.
She said: “Our cemetery services is for everyone, we have different vaults, depending on what you want. And for now, our payment is for one term.
“We have different kinds of sections, such as the pearl vaults, which is the lowest of all, emerald vault, crystal vault, amber vault, ruby vault among others.
“Also on security, we have more than enough security apparatuses, from the Police to the Amotekun, to military who are making sure our loved ones are safe.
“Our services are also available to all religions, be it Muslim, Christian and the traditional worshippers. We will show them our rules and regulations and we are sure that they will adhere.”
She stated that Eternal Home has no record of ugly incident since it was established adding that the cemetery also offers vaults tiling, painting, reopening, alley signage, hall, and others.
