Total Life in Christ Ministry, in collaboration with the NGO Ultimate Total Life Concept Initiative, successfully held its annual event, ‘Olorun Ajulo 2024’, under the theme “Endued with God’s Power.”
Hosted by Daddy and Rev. Dr. Mrs. Adenike Victor-Tade, the event took place at the Function Hall of Jogor Centre in Ibadan, Oyo State’s capital.
The event featured a diverse lineup, including food outreach, worship, and teaching sessions aimed at empowering youths and women.
In her welcome address, the convener and anchor, Rev. Dr. Mrs. Adenike Victor-Tade, emphasized the event’s significance, stating, “This program is a key annual event for our ministry, designed to empower youths and women by addressing their spiritual, economic, and leadership needs.”
She elaborated on the mission of the event, saying, “We invite youths and women to sensitize them and provide the support needed to better their lives. This involves addressing contemporary issues, including fornication and sin, which are often neglected. Through initiatives like the involvement of BOWEN Microfinance, we guide participants on economic empowerment and practical skills.”
Speaking on the theme, she added, “Despite the increasing number of churches, we see rising corruption, indicating a lack of genuine spiritual empowerment. Our goal is to bridge this gap by endowing individuals with the genuine power of God, which acts like fuel for an engine, enabling us to live and act righteously.”
Highlighting the focus on agriculture, Dr. Oluwagboyega Pelemo, an agricultural expert, remarked, “Agriculture remains a cornerstone for sustainable development. We must return to farming to ensure food security and economic resilience.
“Each of us must start farming at home to save ourselves from food scarcity. It’s not just about large-scale farming; even small backyard gardens can make a significant impact.”
Rev. Mike Babatunde, addressing the topic ‘Power to Keep the Marriage Bed Undefiled,’ stressed the significance of marital purity.
“In today’s world, upholding marital purity is challenging but essential. It is the bedrock of strong families and, by extension, a strong society. Marital fidelity builds trust and reinforces the moral fabric of our community, helping us to combat the moral decay prevalent in modern society
He continued: “Teaching our youth about the sanctity of marriage prepares them to build solid families and, consequently, a stronger, more ethical nation. We must return to valuing the principles that fortify family life.”
Rev. Dr. Mary Adeoye, in her session on ‘Power to Live Above Sin,’ highlighted the moral and spiritual fortitude needed to overcome sin.
She said: “Living above sin requires not just individual will but divine empowerment. To live above sin means to rise above the temptations and moral failings of our times through a deep, personal relationship with God. It involves constant spiritual vigilance and reliance on God’s grace.
“We must cultivate a lifestyle of holiness, one that is not swayed by the pervasive immorality of our society. This power to live righteously is what this event seeks to instill in every participant’s life.”
The event concluded with a series of activities, including training on ICT and other empowerment sessions, a prophetic hour, and networking opportunities, all aimed at nurturing future leaders and building a more spiritually empowered community.
