As Muslim faithfuls all over the world mark the celebration of Eid-el Kabir, the former Deputy Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria Chief Adebayo Adelabu has distributed items worth millions of Naira for the celebration.
According to a statement issued by one of the is Media Aides, Comrade Femi Awogboro, the distribution of items which include Rice, Rams and Money were part of the efforts put in place by Chief Adebayo Adelabu to celebrate the Eid-el Kabir with Muslims cutting across his party executives, leaders and members as well as the general public especially Imams, mosques and the needy.
Chief Adelabu then charged Muslim faithfuls to celebrate with caution by strictly adhering to Covid 19 protocols to avoid further spread of the deadly virus.
“Covid 19 pandemic is still very much around especially with the discovery of Delta variant in the state which calls for moderation in the celebration of Salah and decentralization of Eid Prayers in the state” Adelabu said.
In this special period, Chief Bayo Adelabu ensured that this token show of love covered the entire 351 wards and 33 local government areas in the state. A good number of mosques across the state also benefited from these largesse while Imams were not left out. The items of gifts include rams, rice and vegetable oil while a token amount of cash were also distributed to those who could not get the items due to logistic reasons.
