The lawmaker representing Saki East/Atisbo State Constituency at the Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon. Riliwan Saminu Gbadamosi popularly known as Wale Canada, has congratulated Muslims in Oyo State and the entire country on Eid-el-fitr.
As Muslims across the world celebrate the completion of the holy month of Ramadan 2020, he urged them to sustain the morals and lessons acquired during the month of Ramadan.
Hon. Gbadamosi, who is the Chairman Health Committee of the Oyo State Assembly made this known in his Eid-El-Fitr message made available to newsmen on Saturday.
He said “As we celebrate the end of the month of Ramadan, we should remember that Ramadan is a time to reflect spiritually, exercise self denial and extend help to the underprivileged.
“Now that we mark the end of Ramadan, I congratulate Muslims in Oyo State and Nigeria as a whole, this marks a new beginning for each individual, a reason to reflect and express gratitude”.
“Though this year’s Ramadan was badly affected by the Coronavirus pandemic, we should all pray to Allah in His infinite mercy to heal our land”.
He also called on all and sundry to be modest in their celebration and should adhere to all guidelines and advisory in preventing the spread of Covid-19.
He therefore encouraged all to allow these virtues learned transcend the month of Ramadan, by making selflessness and a sacrifice a way of life which are so important in galvanizing unity, religious and social understanding, fairness, peace and stability in our country.
