The Babaloja General of Oyo State, Asiwaju Yekeen Abass, has extended warm felicitations to Muslim faithful across the state on the successful completion of the holy month of Ramadan.
In a statement issued in Ibadan, Asiwaju Abass described Ramadan as a sacred period of self-discipline and renewed commitment to the service of Almighty Allah and humanity.
The First Babaloja General commended Muslims for their steadfastness throughout the 30-day fast, while calling for increased acts of charity, compassion, and support to the downtrodden.
He specifically felicitated with the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde, for his inclusive governance, social welfare, and the continued development of the State.
Asiwaju Abass also extended his felicitations to the Deputy Governor, Barrister Bayo Lawal; lawmakers; the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Rasidi Ladoja; and zonal market leaders across the 33 local governments of Oyo State.
His felicitations also went to the Chief Imam of Ibadanland, Sheikh Abdulganiy Agbotomokekere; all Imams, Alfas, and Islamic leaders, including the Aare Musulumi of Yorubaland Edo and Delta, Alhaji Dahud Akinola; Babasale Musulumi, Chief Nureni Akanbi; and other Islamic leaders.
He urged Muslim faithfuls and traders in the state to continue upholding the lessons of Ramadan, stressing that these values should guide all business and economic dealings in the state.
