The Wife of the Governor of Oyo state, Engineer Tamunominini Makinde, on Wednesday reached out to orphanage homes in Ibadan, the Oyo state capital.
Eleven orphanage homes were beneficiaries of the gesture of the First Lady of Oyo state with each of the homes getting food Items and cash gifts.
This gesture tagged ‘Easter Orphanage Outreach’ was in her usual manner, during the Easter period. The food items distributed to the Orphanage Homes were bags of rice, bag of beans, gallons of vegetable oil, Cartons of noodles, biscuits, toiletries and others.

While speaking, Mrs Makinde said the gesture was to complement the efforts of the caregivers in the homes and at the same time, celebrate the Easter season.
Mrs Makinde who was represented by Honourable Comforter Olajide, lawmaker representing Ibadan North State Constituency I commended the caregivers for their selfless service to humanity.
She noted that the gesture extended to the children with Special Needs and the Vulnerable showed that the state government was giving them hope to smile and for them to survive the current economic challenges confronting the country.
While speaking, one of the owners of the Orphanage Homes, Mrs Osinyin Ibilola said that the food items given to them by the state would complement their efforts during this economic hardship.
Mrs Ibilola extended her appreciation to the First Lady for remembering the motherless children at this particular time and pray that God will continue to be with her and Engr. Seyi Makinde, the Governor of Oyo state.
Also on the entourage were Miss Wasilat Adegoke, Commissioner for Youth and Sports, Directors from the Ministry of Human Affairs and Social Inclusion and others
Some of the homes visited by Mrs. Makinde included His Heritage Home, Oluyole;Treasure Down Syndrome and Person with Special Needs Foundation, Ring Road; Galilee Foundation, Oluyole; Yeshua Christos home, Felele; God Treasure Kiddies Initiative; The Ark of Hope for All Foundation, and Agbedare Jesus Care Foundation, Orogun among others.
