In a gesture of kindness and solidarity, the George Aid Foundation, in collaboration with the Rotary Club of Ibadan Jericho Metro, has distributed food items to hundreds of street sweepers in Ibadan, Oyo State.
The event, held at the Environment House, was witnessed by top officials of the State Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources, including Commissioner Engr. Ademola Aderinto.
The food packages, which included rice, beans, cassava flakes, crayfish, and other condiments, were handed over to the street sweepers as part of efforts to support the less privileged, particularly during the Easter season.
Engr. Aderinto commended the George Aid Foundation and Rotary Club of Ibadan Jericho Metro for their kindness and urged other well-meaning individuals to join in supporting those in need.
Rot. Kunle Are, representing the George Aid Foundation, stated that the organization prioritizes supporting homes and addressing malnutrition.
The street sweepers expressed their gratitude to the foundation and the Rotary Club.
The event was preceded by a clean-up exercise at the Agodi Secretariat, Ibadan, where the Rotary Club of Ibadan Jericho Metro presented cleaning equipment to the Oyo State Ministry of Environment.
