Dapo Lam-Adesina, Awoleye, Others To Receive N5.9 million Each As Non-Returning Lawmakers

Outgoing Oyo lawmakers, Dapo Lam-Adesina, Dada Awoleye, Sunbo Olugbemi, Others will receive N5.9 million each for not returning to the chamber.

The lawmakers from Oyo state failed to get bid to return to the National Assembly.

According to the Remuneration Package for Political, Public and Judicial Office Holders 2008,” a non-returning member of the House of Representatives is entitled to N5,955,637.5 as severance package.

It is one of the irregular allowances that are paid to lawmakers. The irregular allowances are not paid on a monthly basis.

For the Senators, Senator Adesoji Akanbi and Senator Monsurat Sunmonu will receive a severance allowance of N6,079,200 annual for not returning to the National Assembly.
