On Saturday, the Soun Stadium was agog as the darling Ajilete Warriors supporters, fans and football enthusiasts watch in excitement as Crown FC trash Bayelsa United FC to three goals to one in the opener of the 2019/2020 Nigeria National League(NNL).
Bayelsa United FC took the kick off after a minute silence was observed in honour of the two (2) die hard supporters of Crown FC who passed away few months ago.
The first half ended two goals to one in favour of the Ajilete Warriors.
The Restoration Boys commenced the second half full of hope as Ebosa Chukwu, Erimo James and Kingsley Nwachukwu made very dangerous moves but the experienced Abiodun Akinola and Edoka Owoicho were there to put the pressures under comfortable control.
Ibrahim Babalola, the captain for the Ajilete Warriors for today game, perfectly controlled the ball and located Moses Mustapha who made a touch to Fabode Olaitan. He dragged the ball in between Ojobo Markson and Adebayo Gabriel and laid a pass to Taiwo AbdulRafiu who fired in a ballistic shot to seal the day for the homers in the eighty nineth (89th) minute, making the score line three goals to one (3:1).
The Ajilete Warriors will travel to far away Calabar to play Rovers United at the UJ Esuene Stadium in the Week two (2) fixtures of the NNL.
