In the bid to contain the spread of the pandemic COVID-19, the lawmaker representing Ibadan North II State Constituency, Hon. Adebayo Babajide has distributed disinfectant materials to traders, communities and residents of Ibadan North.
The materials which include hand sanitisers, gloves, nose masks and other disinfectants were distributed to individuals, groups inline with the World Health Organisation sensitization guideline.
While sensitizing the people on the World Health Organisation precautions standard to be taken to prevent the pandemic Covid-19 virus, Babajide appealed to the constituents to ensure washing of their hands with soap and water consistently from time to time.
He said, “The staying safe at home, no shaking of hands and touching of face/nose, practicing social distancing and avoiding crowded areas advice and policies enforced by the State government are to ensure you and I are safe, and protected from coronavirus which has killed thousands off people across the world.
“My people of Ibadan North II and other part of our State, please, cover your mouths with the elbow when sneezing or coughing, eat healthy, and always apply other recommended healthy habits. This time shall pass, and we shall all see the end of Coronavirus.”
The Chairman House Committee on Human Rights, Babajide was in the company of the Irepodun Local Council Development Area Caretaker Chairman, Mr Olayinka Oladimeji, Oyo state Health Workers and various political and community leaders in the State for the exercise.
