The Oyo State First Lady, Engr. (Mrs.) Tamunominini Makinde has called on market women and association of women communities in the state to be a good ambassador in this crucial time as the state battling with Covid-19.

She made this known while distributing relief materials to Market Women and Association of Women across the state.

 

The First Lady who was represented by the Hon Commissioner of Women Affairs, Hon Commissioner Alhaja Fausat Sanni explained that the current administration is doing everything to ensure the safety of the good people of Oyo State in rural and urban areas.

She assured that the relief materials will get to all markets as they are ensuring that no one is left out as they are aware of the current situation spreading arcoss the Nation and Globe as well.

 

“We are doing it subsequently and i can assure that we will continue to reach for the poorest of the poor of the state”

 

Her Excellence also enjoined the women to ensure they follow all the medical advice to prevent the spread of Covid 19

 

Chief Mrs Alhaja Iswat Abiola Amerigun , The iyaloja of Ibadanland shows appreciation on behalf of the market women and promise that market will ensure all Medical advice to stop the spread of Coronavirus by ensuring the use of Face Marks and  Washing hand with soap and water

 

She added that the Market Heads has elected a Task Force to ensure that all measure are put in place to ensure that all market sellers use the face mark and wash their hands frequently with soap and water.

 

“The Oyo State Government has provided and mandatory the use of Face Marks and Washing hand with soap and water at the entrance of each market in Ibadan”

 

” We have the task force who are always ensuring the use of Face Marks within the market and we also have provided water and soap for our people to wash their hands”

 

The First Lady gives over 200 relief materials to Market Women, Federation of Muslim Women’s Association of Nigeria and Nasrul-lahi-li Fathi Society of Nigeria.
