Addis Ababa came alive last week – May 23 – 28, when the African Union – African Diaspora gathered for the Global Pan Africa Root – Synergy Roundtable Conference for the 10th Anniversary of the Adoption of the African Union Sixth Region – African Diaspora Declaration.
At the twilight of the colourful event was the recognition and honour to those whom honour is indeed due.
Notable among these special awardees by this prestigious body is the Managing Director of CEOAFRICA, Prince Sunday Cletus Ilobanafor.
The event which has high dignitaries across the globe in attendance attributed the award giving to commitment and dedication of these worthy ambassadors to well-meaning contributions and services.
In part, the certificate of honour and appreciation reads: ‘In recognition of your lifetime contribution to the advancement of Pan Africa Solidarity presented at the Addis Ababa Roundtable on the 27th day of May, 2022 at Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.’
The official mandate of the summit: Global Pan Africa Root – Synergy Roundtable, is a bold call to an action plan of connecting and linking African continent to the African Diaspora across the world for cooperation and building a better Africa.
Recall that a decade ago, the West Indies, Latin America, and South America; Heads of State, Governments and various representatives from the African Diaspora met at Sandton, Johannesburg, South Africa during the Declaration of Global African Diaspora Summit to brainstorm on possible ways to develop an integrated, prosperous, and peaceful Africa, driven by its own citizens and representing a dynamic force in the global arena.
This year’s Addis Ababa summit is therefore to commemorate the 10th year historic declaration which adopted the African Union-African in Diaspora at the Sixth Region.
While congratulating the Managing Director of CEOAFRICA for the honour well deserved, the management and staff of the organisation also gratefully thank the organisers of the event for the distinct recognition.
CEOAFRICA is the official medial partner to the African Union – African Diaspora, the Global Pan Africa Root – Synergy Roundtable.
Recall that last year in a letter dully signed by the Executive Secretary of African Academy of Languages (ACALAN), a language agency of the Africa Union, Dr Lang Dampha; the Managing Director of CEOAFRICA, Prince Cletus Ilobanafor was appointed as one of the members of the African Language Week Committee of the African Union.
