Communication minister, Alhaji Adebayo Shittu is to be conferred with the title of Agbaakin Fiwagboye of Ibadanland.
A palace source who did not want name in print revealed to InsideOyo on that plans have been concluded to install the Saki-born lawyer on the 16th of April, 2017, at the Popoyemoja Palace of Oba Saliu Adetunji, the Olubadan of Ibadanland.
Many ministers and close associates of the former commissioner are expected in Ibadan, for the event.
Though the source was not sure whether some people lobbied the Olubadan-in-council to bestow the honour on him, it was gathered that the event cannot be unconnected with the minister’s gubernatorial ambition in 2019.
The former lawmaker is leaving no stone unturned as 2019 beckons. At different fora, the minister has always told those who care to listen that he would be the next governor of Oyo State.
His associates and family members have started distributing aso-ebi for the event.
