Oyo state College of Education, Lanlate, has suspended staff union activities and proscribed the students’ Union.
The management said it was the outcome of the Governing Council emergency meeting held on Tuesday, November 10, 2020.
In a circular signed by the School Registrar, R.O Opadeji, seen by InsideOyo.com, the governing council directed all students to vacate the college with immediate effect, thereby suspending all academic activities.
Arising from its emergency meeting of the 10th of November 2020, the Governing Council of the College of Education, Lanlate, hereby directs as follows:
“All academic activities in the college suspended with immediate effect
Students Union activities are hereby proscribed
Students are to vacate the College with immediate effect and;
Staff union activities spending until further notice.”
Last week, the students of school embarked on protests over what they termed sexual harassment and outrageous fees by the management.
