Oyo state chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has suspended the son of the former Oyo governor, Olamijuwonlo Alao Akala.
The party’s PRO, Dr Olatunde AbdulAzeez confirmed this to InsideOyo.com on Tuesday in a telephone conversation.
Recall that insideoyo.com had earlier reported that Olamiju dumped the All Progressives Congress (APC) to join his father at the African Democratic Party (ADP).
Dr. AbdulAzeez said Olamijulo has already cross carpeted to another party and the party executive cannot fold his hands and look at home jeopardizing the party’s image.
“Yes, we have suspended him,” Dr AbdulAzeez said.
When Insideoyo.com asked on further action, he said the state executive is awaiting the local brand of the party to recommend resolution to the state chapter before further action Is taken.
Olamijunlo is the current Ogbomoso North Local Government chairman and may lose the local government chairmanship seat.
