As exclusively reported by Inside Oyo, Honourables Adeleke Taiwo and Muda Agbaje who were nominated to chair Asabari LCDA and Irepo Local Government areas respectively, have been rejected by the Oyo State House of Assembly.
They were declared ‘unappointable’ by the committee report read by Hon. Bolaji Badmos (Akinyele 2) who chairs the committee on local government and chieftaincy matters.
Inside Oyo had gathered that the performance of the duo was not satisfactory to the members of the House Committee who screened them.
According to sources, Taiwo was unable to introduce himself and failed to answer questions while the primary school leaving certificate of Agbaje, was allegedly questioned.
Moves by some people to appeal to the lawmakers to “allow it go” fell on deaf ears.
The other 55 nominees, however, were cleared by the House committee.
