Oyo State has recorded 31 new coronavirus cases, bringing the total number of confirmed infections in the state to 107, insideoyo.com reports.
The Executive Governor of Oyo State and Chairman Oyo State Taskforce on COVID-19 made this known via his official facebook page
According to Makinde, “the COVID-19 confirmation tests for thirty-one suspected cases came back POSITIVE.
“Thirty of these cases are members of staff of the same organisation based in Ibadan South West Local Government Area.
“The organisation has been shut down and will be decontaminated”
The governor urged members of the public to remain calm as the situation is under control. He said the state Taskforce has Intensified contact tracing.
“The remaining one case is from Egbeda Local Government Area. So, the total number of confirmed cases in Oyo State as at 8 PM today, is 107”
Insideoyo.com reports that Saturday’s figure is the highest number of confirmed cases to be recorded by the state in a day.
Meanwhile, As of 09:20 pm 14th April there are 5621 confirmed cases of COVID19 reported in Nigeria. 1472 have been discharged with 176 deaths
