Former CBN deputy governor, Oloye Bayo Adelabu has emerged as Oyo APC governorship candidate.
His emergence came as the last man standing, Chief Niyi Akintola also pulled out from the race joining other aspirants.
Recall that insideOYO.com had earlier reported that 8 people obtained the party’s form out of over 20 aspirants that shown interest.
7 among the 8 aspirants were screened and cleared to contest by the party with the communication minister, Barrister Adebayo Shittu screened out for not participating in the mandatory one year service.

Also, former governor Adebayo Alao Akala and former Health commissioner, Dr Azeez Adeduntan withdrew from the race before election.
At the election venue, 3 aspirants which are Olasunkanmi Tegbe, Dr Owolabi Babalola and Dr Ayandele Eruobodo pulled out of the race.
The voting commenced with Adebayo Adelabu Penkelemesi and Bar Niyi Akintola before the Barr Akintola pulled out allowing Adebayo Adelabu Penkelemesi emerged as the party’s governorship candidate.
