The All Progressives Congress (APC) has disqualified Saki-born Minister of Communications, Adebayo Shittu, from the governorship race over his failure to partake in the one-year mandatory National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) scheme, TheCable reports.

Online platform, Premium Times had reported that Shittu failed to present himself for the scheme despite graduating from the then University of Ife (now Obafemi Awolowo University, OAU) at age 25.

Shittu had frowned at indirect primaries by the national working committee of the party. He had hinted if Oyo APC field any other candidate for the 2019 Gubernatorial election it may spell doom.
