Oyo state governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde has reconciled Hon Abayomi Fagbenro’s group and Hon Stanley Olajide Adedeji Odidi Omo’s group over the Ibadan North West, Southwest federal Constituency ticket in order to work together for the success of the People’s Democratic party (PDP) at the forthcoming 2023 general election.
The Reconciliatory meeting was arranged by the Governor and the leaders of the party in the state.
While addressing the two group, Oyo state Governor, Engineer Seyi makinde who was represented by Elder (Chief) Sunday Ogunlade appealed to Hon Abayomi Fagbenro to accept the consensus decision of the party which has brought the two groups together as a big family in the constituency.
He further expressed that fulfilling the consensus decision of the party in the state would go a long way as a bond between the two chieftains of the party and create a synergy that would not be easily broken by outsider.
Earlier in his address, Hon. Abayomi Fagbenro popularly Known as ‘Bibiire’ appreciated the Governor for his timely intervention on having consensus candidate in Ibadan South west/ North West and all PDP leaders for their show of love.
He further expressed his gratitude to Bibiire group for their unflinching support throughout the struggle and appealed to the group to shealt their sword and let peace reign.
In his remark, the Honourable representing, Ibadan Southwest/North West federal Constituency, Hon. Stanley Olajide Adedeji, popularly Known as ‘Odidiomo’ expressed gratitude to all PDP leaders and the Bibiire groups for their understanding and love shown to him by accepting him as their candidate.
He further appreciated the resilience of Hon. Abayomi Fagbenro and Oyo state Road Transport management authority boss, Mogaji Akin Fagbemi throughout the matter and added that three of them are one entity and assured that all present at the meeting will never regret their support they have gave him.
Hon. Stanley Olajide Adedeji promised Bibiire’s group that things would begin to change for good and assured the group based on some of the project he has embarked on that he will execute more projects for the good of the people at the constituency.
At the event, a number of gift items were given to the people by Hon. Abayomi Fagbenro by rolling out a raffle tickets to win prices like: Bags of rice, Electric Cookers, phones and some other items with cash.
