The Aseyin of Iseyin, Oba Abdulganiyy Salau, and some other prominent citizens have felicitated Gov. Seyi Makinde on his 54th birthday.
Others include Mr Bayo Lawal, Chairman, Oyo State Housing Corporation, the Management of Emmanuel Alayande College of Education (EACOED), Oyo and Mr Waheed Akanbi, Administrator, Aare Latosa Local Council Development Area (LCDA).
Oba Salau said the people of Oke Ogun had “graciously joined lovers of the governor to thank God for his impactful life.
“We are proud of him and we are praying for him to succeed in all his endeavours. He has displayed that he loves us and in return we love him more.
Akanbi, in a statement signed by Yetunde Fadipe-Oladepo, the council’s Head of Information Unit, described the governor as a man with the Midas touch.
He said that Makinde, since assuming office, had impacted positively on the various sectors of the state.
The LCDA administrator said that the achievements recorded by the Makinde-led administration were unprecedented.
“Oyo State is blessed to have him piloting the affairs of the state. He has made remarkable and landmark developments for the state in all areas.
He prayed that God grant him long life, wisdom, sound health, everlasting peace and years filled with outstanding success.
Lawal, the housing boss in a statement signed by Mr Kunle Sanni, the corporation’s Director of Information and Public Relations, said that the sacrifices, selflessness and humility of the governor were all appreciated by the people.
He said the world would be left with little to worry about if all leaders could be like Makinde.
He prayed God to grant the governor long life and prosperity, saying with him as the leader the present is worth living and future is worth waiting for.
EACOED, in a statement signed by Wale Adeoye, the Special Assistant on Media Matters to the Provost, acknowledged Makinde’s giant strides in the area of peace restoration to all the tertiary institutions in the state.
The college said the prompt payment of salaries to public sector workers has engendered quality service delivery among employees of EACOED.
The college prayed that God grant the governor long life in sound health and the wisdom to “successfully paddle the canoe of the state“. (NAN)
