The Media Campaign Team of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Ibadan North federal constituency has said that the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, despite being in power at the state, is afraid of defeat in Saturday’s election.
Obviously jolted by the popularity and acceptance of the APC candidate, Adewale Olatunji, the party described the story by the PDP and its merchants alleging APC and Olatunji of distributing sachet alcohol to buy votes as untrue.
A statement by Hon. Monsuru Adeyemo (Socrates), said that PDP and Governor Seyi Makinde are afraid of the pains they have inflicted on the people of the state.
“In this age of artificial intelligence, a video of where such sachet alcohol is being distributed would have been a convincing proof if actually anything like that happened but because of the lazy nature of members of the PDP, they used AI to generate a copy and distribute it to the unsuspecting members of the public to blackmail the APC and its candidate. The people are more intelligent to be swayed by that dangerous antics.
“It is an height of desperation by the PDP whose leader has been running from pillar to post, soliciting votes for a failed candidate of the PDP. In the coming days, we are going to expose many of the shenanigans of the PDP-led government for this coming election.
“We urge the media to always confirm and verify what they are using in order not to allow their names to be dragged,” the statement added.
