Engineer Mufutau Open Salawu, Former Special Adviser to Late Governor Abiola Ajimobi has condoled with the Adeyemi family, the people of the Oyo state and Yoruba people in general over the demise of Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi III.
Open Salawu in a statement personally signed by him made available to newsmen on Sunday described the Late monarch as a lover of beautiful things adding that he enjoyed till bell rang.
The Ogbomoso-born Civil Engineer said Alaafin was encyclopedia of yoruba history.
The statement read: “Alaafin was encyclopedia of yoruba history.
“I pay tribute to a life dedicated to the service of her country. My deepest sympathy to Our Royal family and the entire people of Oyo State.
“The nation will profoundly miss Alaafin unwavering service and dignified presence. May God provide strength to the Family during this difficult time and grant him eternal peace.
“Alaafin was an encyclopedia of Yoruba culture and history. He lived fullest and enjoyed till the bell rang. He was a lover of beautiful things.”
