The Oyo State female governorship aspirant, Bolanle Aliyu, visited Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi, to seek his blessing towards her 2019 governorship ambition.
Aliyu had earlier declared her interest to run for the 2019 governorship election.
Aliyu, while paying a courtesy visit to Oba Adeyemi, asked for his support in her political ambition.
Oba Adeyemi blessed and urged Aliyu not to be intimidated to do the wrong thing when she becomes the governor of Oyo State.
Also the Olori, Ramat Adeyemi, who expressed her joy, said the time for a change of mindset had come for women, adding that taking the back seat in politics had come to an end.

Recall that insideoyo.com earlier reported that Bolanle Sarumi Aliyu, a first female governorship aspirant in Oyo state, declared interest to run for the 2019 election.
According to The Nation, she made the declaration on Tuesday at a service for souls that have fallen for democracy organized by Bolanle Aminat Sarumi Aliyu, (BASA) Foundation, at the Sultan Bello Hall University of Ibadan, Oyo State.
Sarumi Aliyu is seeking to overturn the political landscape, giving life to gender balance in Nigeria’s political space. According to her, she is ready to set the pace that will invigorate the Nigerian Woman with a change of mindset that women taking the back seat in politics have come to an end.
