The National Convention of All Progressives Congress has now been confirmed and scheduled to hold on 26th March 2022 with names of members for various committees released by the CECPC.
According to a document signed by the National Secretary of the CECPC, Sen. John James Akpanudoedehe, most of the sub-committees are headed by serving and former State Governors with notable past and serving political office holders included as members.
The sub-committees include, Accreditation Committee, Screening Committee, Election Committee, Digital Communication, Finance, Budget, Medical, Legal, Media/Publicity, Security/Protocol, Accommodation, Transportation/Logistics amongst others.
Personalities from Oyo State who made the list are Professor Taoheed Adedoja, a former Minister of Sports who is a member of two strategic Committees including Accreditation Committee and Venue Committee, Professor Adeolu Akande, Chairman Nigeria Communication Commission (NCC), Mrs. Hannah Ogunesan, former Head of Service, and Mrs Fatima Titilayo Hassan, Oyo South Senatorial Women Leader, who are to serve in Election committee, Accommodation committee, and Screening committee respectively.
It will be recalled that Hon Akinremi Olaide, a member of the Central Planning Committee and Honourable representing Ibadan North Federal Constituency Hon. Olaide Akinremi (Jagaban) was earlier appointed as the Chairman, Southwest APC Zonal Convention now slated for 12th March, 2022.
Also, Chief Niyi Akintola SAN, will serve as Deputy Chairman, Legal Committee, while Honourable Tolulope Akande Sadipe, is a member of the Accreditation of Volunteers/Diplomatic/Diaspora/Observers Committee) and Honourable Wale Olatunji Murphy who will serve as member of Election Committee.
This development has further assured the party faithfuls and the general public about the commitment of the CECPC on the planned National Convention.
