Oloye Akin Alabi, a lawmaker representing Egbeda/Ona Ara Federal Constituency, has suggested that the security agent, Department Of State Security Service, DSS, should explain why the publisher of Sahara Reporters was rearrested on Friday.
“… And the reason has to be HUGE,” he tweeted.
The lawmaker’s statement came after the security agent rearrested Sowore in court, a day after he was released from their custody.
Mr Alabi said the matter relates to separation of power which was discussed at the plenary and described DSS’ action as desecration of the judiciary.
The DSS will have to explain why Sowore was rearrested. And the reason has to be HUGE. We just debated on the floor yesterday about separation of powers but this is a desecration of the judiciary. No matter whose side you are on, this cannot be right in anyway.
