The lawmaker representing Oyo South Senatorial District, Senator Adesoji Akanbi, has said that his relationship with the state governor, Senator Abiola Ajimobi is cordial and beyond politics.
Senator Akanbi stated this in an interview with PUNCH Newspaper.
When asked on reports that Ajimobi is eyeing the senatorial seat he is currently occupying, he said it is speculation.
“To me, that is speculation. I can assure you that there is no way one can contest election without declaration. We should all wait.”
Senator Akanbi also talked about his next political move as rumours have been around that he will contest for governorship seat in 2019.
He said “Wait and watch me in the next two, three or four weeks. I will let the whole world know what I’m going to do next.”
