Governor Abiola Ajimobi’s deputy, Chief Moses Adeyemo, yesterday declared his intention to be the next governor of Oyo State.
At the Oke-Ado, Ibadan, state secretariat of the party, Adeyemo submitted his letter of intention to the state Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Chief Akin Oke.
Titled “Gubernatorial race 2019”, Adeyemo said he decided to join the race in view of his six years experience in governance.
He further avowed that he had remained a loyal progressive transversing parties like Action Group, Unity Party of Nigeria, Alliance for Democracy, Social Democratic Party and his current party, APC.
Drawing from his holding various positions across the different political parties, he averred that he was the most suitable candidate to succeed Governor Abiola Ajimobi.
While asserting that he would abide by party stipulations, Adeyemo said he was bound to sustain the legacies and achievements of Ajimobi.
Welcoming Adeyemo, Chief Oke said the party would follow due process leading towards who emerges the party’s flag bearer for the 2019 gubernatorial.
