One of the two chairmen elected at the parallel congress organised by two factions of the Oyo State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Chief Jacob Adetoro, has described his election as the beginning of a new dawn for the party.
Expressing gratitude to God and supporters, Adetoro, who was elected at the congress that held inside Baptist High School, Oke-Ado, Ibadan, ?said the era where the state chairman will not be concerned with the plight of ordinary members is gone.
He said they would reconcile all factions within the party, ?adding that “?we have started a new journey key today and by God’s grace, we will all be carried along in the running of our great party.? Success can not be achieved without one or two hiccups, there have been some challenges in the past few days, we thank God for the wisdom of our leaders for the progress we made till this moment.
“Please do not be perturbed by activities of some other groups within the party as you might be hearing different thing in the media, we will reach out to them in order to build a formidable and stronger team together,” he added.
