Dr. Aderonke ‘Dairo, Ibadan-born philanthropist and chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) organized is a roadshow to raise awareness and enlighten people of the importance of the ongoing registration/revalidation exercise of the party in Ibadan.
The roadshow started from her constituency at Oke Ofa on Tuesday 9th February 2021, with mobilizing people for the party membership registration, with side attractions like afrobeat music, skaters sharing fliers, hypemen, and party faithful dancing to cheer the crowd.
Dr ‘Dairo, a UK-based medical practitioner, is the first woman to declare for a 2023 political ambition in Oyo State under the platform of the APC.
While speaking, she said: “It is okay to complain but it’s better from the inside. Being involved gives an edge and better insight to know how decisions are made. Youths and women in Nigeria can no longer afford to be a “fencist”.
She urged all progressive lovers to take advantage of the ongoing registration/revalidation exercise as a show of party patriotism needed to position the party in a state strong enough to win future elections for continuity.
The roadshow traversed all the 12 wards in Ibadan North East Constituencies 1 & 2 and a few other Local Government Areas in the Ibadan metropolis.
The exercise was strategically carried out on the day the registration commenced to sensitize the public and mobilize membership for the party within the State in general.
Recall that Honorable Aderonke declared her intentions in December 2020 to run for the State of Assembly, Ibadan North East 2 constituency in 2023.
Her humanitarian and empowerment activities have been a constant to her people even before the public declaration.
