The Deputy National Chairman of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Dr. Bamidele Ganiyu Ajadi has resigned as Chairman of the Governing Council of Oyo State College of Health Science and Technology, Eleyele, Ibadan, effective July 1, 2025.
This was made known in a resignation letter obtained by Inside Oyo, on Thursday, in Ibadan, the Oyo state capital.
In the letter announcing his resignation, Dr. Ajadi cited potential conflict of interest as the reason for his decision.
He expressed concern that continuing to serve as Chairman of the Governing Council could compromise his commitment to his political party.
“I am honestly convinced that continuing to serve as Chairman, Governing Council, Oyo State College of Health Science and Technology, Eleyele, Ibadan will definitely breed conflict of political interest, which may adversely impact my commitment to my Political party ADC as National Officer.
“I am not planning to resign my membership of ADC, and I believe it is time for me to step down based on principle,” he said.
Dr. Ajadi expressed gratitude to the Governor for the opportunity to serve in the position, saying, “I am sincerely grateful to your Excellency for the opportunity given. I greatly valued the opportunity to serve in such position as Chairman, Governing Council.”
