The management of DAKA Foundation has congratulated the Founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Foundation, Dr kazeem Adesina Abidikugu on his award of a Masters degree by the Institute of Clinical Sciences from the highly reputable University of Birmingham, United Kingdom.
Dr Abidikugu, a Member of the Royal College of Psychiatry United Kingdom graduated from College of Health Sciences, Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile- Ife in 2000 with a Bachelor of Medicine & Bachelor of Surgery.
Already an Affiliate Member of the Royal College of Psychiatry with special interest in Neuropsychiatry, Learning Disability Psychiatry & Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. Also a Section 12 Approved clinician, which is recognition by the secretary of Health as having specialist experience in the diagnosis and treatment of mental disorder.
Speaking after the graduation in an online statement on Tuesday, Abidikugu stated that the knowledge acquired is to benefit humanity and for the development of Oyo state and Nigeria as a whole.
According to him, “I am happy to be among Nigerians that are making Nigeria proud outside the shore of the country. This feat for me in UK, came at a time another Nigerian, Tobi Amusan is making Nigeria proud in far away Eugene, Oregon, USA, at the women’s 100m hurdles at the world track and field championships.
“I want say that apart from developing my intelligent capacity, this knowledge acquired is to the benefit of humanity, service to the nation and for the development of Oyo state and Nigeria as a whole”.
